When I was charging up my rental EV-1 in San Diego last June a guy walking
by called out "Hey is that a Citroen? (Being a fan of Rene Magritte, I
said "Ceci n'est pas une Cit!"). Gives me an idea: I am friendly with a
Citroen dealer in Edmonton who has half a dozen wrecks in his back lot. We
smuggle the EV-1s into Canada, put Cit serial numbers on them and get
papers made up by my friend Julio, reregister them as Citroen DS's and take
them to San Diego!
