Hmmm.. 

Just a quickie calculation, 

you'll need:

a car that can drive for two hours on a one hour charge
a team of four drivers
a Prius chase car to hold all the gear
and a 220VAC outlet every 120-140 miles.

Then if you drive for two and charge for one, you can cover the 2800 miles
in approx. 70 hours.
