Michael, I read you need a solution for the lighting. Let me know if you are interested in a DC/DC converter that takes up to 75V input and delivers an isolated and trimmable 15V 10A output. This is a "half-brick" DC/DC converter from Lucent/tyco JW150C1 Using a converter from the full pack avoids tapping and unbalancing, while you can use standard 12V accessories by trimming the output to 13-14V.
