More or less this part of the thread is about how the Leaf has a crap way of reporting remaining range. It is inaccurate. The car or some big computer can't read you mind, so if it is going to make an informed, accurate estimate - you are going to have to tell it what your destination is. You want accuracy, you have to tell it what is going to happen. I can't imagine there is another way.
