Hi Folks
I stopped at the Strasburg Va supercharger for my Tesla Y and got “charging
equipment not ready” message on my screen. I googled a customer service number
877-798-3752, initially a maddening call tree, then a lady came on and said to
mash my balls while holding the brake peddle to reset the car, then tried 6
more of 8 superchargers.
She said the car was dead so had to have it towed to a service center in
Sterling or Charlotte 100ish miles away. They didn’t answer the phone in
either place just a recording to go on the Tesla app which said I could get
towed and fixed in 53 days! What the hell is that ? So stuck in a parking
lot with a boat I’m towing 200 miles from home.
Luckily a guy stopped next to me and said only 2 of 8 charging stations are
working(I just tried all the dead ones of course). It’s not your car as the
Tesla dingbat stated. So what do you do if your Tesla car dies on the side of
the road? Have it towed home? Then to a far away Tesla Service center months
later when their iPhone app gets around to notifying you to bring it in? There
used to be Tesla Rangers (field service) what happened to them, Elon laid them
off with all the government employees?
Has anyone had roadside repair help from Tesla or a real phone number that’s
not just a recording? Luckily I finally got charged but next time I’d like to
have a better plan…
Best regards
Mark
