Hi Mark,

My experience has been the opposite. On a Friday night at 6pm, I
discovered I had a flat while in my driveway. I clicked on Service
and then the Request Service button. Wrote a message about the
situation and verified where I was located. Tesla responded that a
tow truck was on its way with a spare tire.by 7 pm. I had my tire
replaced with a "loaner". The nail was toward the edge so the tire
could not be repaired in place. My flat tire was placed in the trunk
of my Y. The tire was under "warranty" and did not cost me anything.

I asked the local Tesla dealer about how long I had in order to find a
new tire and the service manager said about 3 months and then "we
might come looking for you". I made an appointment to drop it off at
the Service center. I didn't really have to make an appointment but I
did it anyway to get it on record.

Not sure how I would feel if I'm in Western Kansas and how Tesla would
respond.

I am surprised that there was not some sort of "Alert" but so far, I
had my Y close to 4 years and have had no issues with any of the
Superchargers I have visited.

YMMV Sorry to hear what you went through. Have you gone on any of
the Teslarati sites to see what others have said?
