The Progressive mindset is, the greater the state power, in the fewest hands is the best -for us, the ruling class. Economically, you own sense of governance, is closer in operation, then the dreaded, fascism, progressives like to chat about-without precisely, knowing, what it really is. So, for example, when Bill and Linda Gates, provide millions for mosquito netting in Africa, to resist malaria, this is a good. However, when the same people pay lobbyists to get a piece of the action to join in with the national security state, is this a good thing as well? Microsoft would receive contracts worth billions, making many stockholders smile.
