Why do you take the Abrahamic God to be the canonical definition?

Not canonical. There's no one with the authority to issue canon law on the meaning of English.

There are 7 billion people on this Earth and most of them are not Christian, Jewish or Muslim.

According to wikipedia 54.7% are. And if you add "folk religions" which mostly posit personal gods, you're up to 60.6%. And I'm guessing you don't live in India or China, so among people you speak to it maybe higher still.
