When the kernel reaches 2.6 and it still doens't work, or someone gives
us a more specific reason why it doesn't, we'll look into it.  It works
just fine with linux kernel revisions prior to 2.5, all versions of
solaris you care to think about, and *bsd.  So it isn't our problem
afaict.
