Not bidding a fixed amount, they actually want me in for 60-80 hours with
part of the job being this migration. For some reason they wanted to know
how long the migration would take. I told them I couldn't give them an
accurate time without being able to first examine their systems, however
they maintained they only wanted an estimate of the migration time
(outside of the contracted time.) I just bought a house and got my car
smashed by a semi two weeks ago... I could USE a guaranteed 60 hour gig
and if that means giving a ballpark estimate to get it, I will.
