On #1; Backup Exec can be that way. :-) On #4; just because your tape is streaming OK on other servers doesn't mean it will work as well with exchange. The data file sizes can play havoc with the streaming. I do backups to disk and then copy jobs to tape. Goes much faster and the local disk-to-tape streaming is much more efficient. You need DAS with adequate capacity, though. My 15 gig IS streams to disk in a little less than 2 hours, and the DAS write to tape takes about the same. Restore from the disk file is MUCH faster, though. On #6; CL is DISabled? I made a mistake in my previous post; CL should be ENABLED during the moves, not DISabled. Disabling CL keeps all the logs until a backup is performed; that's where a huge amount of logs will come from. Check your logfile drive and see what's there... I tend to perform moves with CL enabled, then disable CL, stop and restart the store, and then perform a backup. Better recoverability.
