I hope we are taking about Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) product. We have been using TSM's Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange product for backing up our Exchange Server for quite sometime now. This is NOT a third party product and is under active development by Tivoli.
I would recommend that you search the TSM mailing list archives at: http://www.adsm.org to get a better feedback on this product. We have not had any problems with it and it integrates well with the rest of the TSM product.
