The only time Arcserve was a good product... was in the day before CA, and you used it to backup your Netware servers...

 

Other then that... Arcserve will never get near my NT servers... I would rather higher a team of Tibetian Monks, to hand copy the data bit by bit.

I haven't worked on Arcserve since 1997.  I didn't like it too much then.   Sure doesn't sound like it's gotten any better.

the general concensus on arcserve is don't bother, look elsewhere, etc.  Backup Exec or UltraBac.
