I concur, this is exactly what I do, and I don't think I've seen it so just so you don't irritate anyone with outside addresses coming up in your Global Address List, in the Advanced Tab of the Mailbox Properties Hide the Custom Recipient you create from the Address List.

Okay Bill, here's an idea for you.  Loose the mailbox rule to forward email, setup a custom recipient in Exchange admin, set this persons mailbox properties to send to BOTH the custom recipient & mailbox on Exchange. Messages get delivered to where they want them, meetings get delivered to where they want them and the whiney redheaded step-children can take a hike if they get deletes w/o reading on their messages.  Give them a little education and maybe some of it will sink in.
