If you schedule it as a resource, you're putting the appointment
directly into it's calendar. The autoaccept agent never sees it, since
it's looking for a meeting request in the Inbox. The time will be
marked on the calendar as busy, but the other things the agent does like
adding the meeting organizer to the subject line and enforcing
recurrence limits don't happen.

"You do not want to schedule the room as a resource if you run the
agent."

- Why is this? I thought I read somewhere that you were supposed to tag
it as a resource (little green house icon appears next to it in the
appointment)

The Exchange Auto Accept Agent will do what you want.

Once you install the agent, you want to invite the resource as an
attendee (just like inviting a person).

You do not want to schedule the room as a resource if you run the agent.

Subject: Conference room calendar auto accept agent?

Hi,
I need to setup a calendar (Exchange 2003 SP2 & Outlook 2003 SP3) that
can automatically book itself when a group of users schedules meetings.

I think there was an auto accept agent to do this?
But I need my users to be able do "invite" the room to their meeting
from a Blackberry device.
And if I remember correctly... the auto accept agent requires that you
invite the room as a "resource: room or equipment". But there is no way
to do this on a Blackberry.

I can invite the room (if it is in the GAL), but I can't specify
"resource: room or equipment" on the BB.
Any suggestions?

Do most people use the auto accept agent? Or is there a different (or
better) way to book conference rooms for meetings?

Thanks very much!
-Dave
