Hello Nick,

Can you read/write in Russian in other standard Xp applications, i.e.
Wordpad/Paint? Is your e-mail agent also from XP (Outlook Express)? If you
can't, you should try to add Russian through Start->Settings->Languages and
Regions (or whatever it is in English version)->Languages->Details (again,
whatever it is in English)->Add Language->Russian and then tune the keyboard
etc. If you miss files for Russian Windows patch it's a different story but
this can be dome through MS site, I hope.

If all is OK with Russian in MS applications, your software needs a patch to
be able to work with Russian fonts and keyboards. I had this experience with
Adobe Acrobat... what software do you want to be compatible in Russian?

Subject: Expat List Windows in English and Russian

Hi all,

I've got Windows XP and it's an English version.

I've downloaded some software that requires my computer to be able to read
Russian but it can't for some reason.

I can read Russian in emails and in various forms but not on this software.

Do I have to re-install Russian Windows or is there any other way of being
able to read these things please?

Thanks in advance,

Nick
