I suppose what Micah tries to tell you is that people who might be
interested lose interest very quickly as soon as they see your prizes.
No matter whether you write OBO or not, the starting prize is always
an indication about the range you expect. Hence people do not assume
that there is much bargaining potential when they see the starting
prizes.

See basically people dont "need" your stuff, but people always like a
good offer ...
