I'm really confused - how come /dev/hda is also called /dev/hde?
Can you 'reach' that drive (under linux) as both /dev/hda and /dev/hde?
What with Lilo's paranoia about things being the same (which I REALLY
wish I could turn off sometimes!), if something in the system is
changing /dev/hda into /dev/hde (and back) while LILO is trying to
do stuff - well, my gut instict is 'youre hosed unless you can convince
that daemon (probably spelled 'demon'!) to stop moving the hard drive
around.
But its just a gut feeling, so hopefully I'm wrong....
