Define 'wrong' time.  My system clock is running on UTC and I live in CEST
zone (GMT/UTC +0200):

Fre Mai 25 00:47:16 CEST 2001
[askwar@teich pear]$ date -u
Don Mai 24 22:47:18 UTC 2001

Everything's fine.
