Well Ghost is not just for the Windows world.  It certainly handles
ext2.  You may like to contact me off list for more specific info on
that.

There is also partimage, which I think is supposed to handle Reiser and
maybe others.  I couldn't get it to recognise any of mine though, but I
didn't perservere beyond a quick look.
