uhm... is using a GUI tool not an option here? 

i think it was xcdroast that lets you build the tree by drag-n-drop'ing directories 
before mkisofs...

just a thought.

(hey maybe doing it that way you can get what command xcdroast is sending to 
mkisofs... )
