Hey Phil, Smarter people than I recommended to me to mix 10 oz. of your favorite premix oil into the first 5 gallons of fuel in the cell in addition to your normal injection oil. Also ensures that should something go wrong (plumbing, oil injection, bad bleed), you've got oil/gas. Obviously, you don't want to do this at a race unless you know your fuel won't be tested.
That being said, I've done as you're thinking on several occasions with no ill effect...
