  After reading that I get the impression that someone'll have to fix that in a 
later release. It does not look like there is something I can tweak in my 
system to make it work (since I don't have the Visual Studio 2013). Am I right, 
or am I missing something?

  If I'm right, could you please point me in the direction of those v0.90 
binaries you were saying were the last good ones for XP? I don't see anything 
like "previous releases" on the factorcode.org.
