Cancer - you didn't say what type. In any event, the best one in the
country would probably be http://www.tahoma-clinic.com
Run by Dr. Jonathan Wright
This assumes a well stocked back account for traveling and hotel
expenses, aside from the treatment costs.
An alternative would be to just take the same supplements that Dr.
Wright would probably prescribe(I'll give a list below). This would
cost in the hundreds of dollars instead of thousands.
Have your friend contact me she opts for the 2nd alternative. Or, I
can make a brief list of the most powerful known anti-cancer
nutraceuticals known to mankind. I don't have any connection to the
retailers who sell the products. There are a few med schools which
have taken the first few timid steps toward an alternative treatment
protocol, but they are years behind people like Dr. Wright.
Basically, the whole range of anti-cancer substances is vast, like the
base of a pyramid; but fortunately converges to a pinnacle just a few
basic categories.
To name a few of the substances at the pinnacle, (check these out by
accessing a great alternative source of info: http://www.lef.org which
should have another URL http://www.lifeextension.org
Then check out the articles.
Let's mention just three of the allstars: 1. Curcurmin (from tumeric),
2. DIM Complex with IC3, and 3. resveratrol.
For example, accessing lef.org, we can input curcurmin and lots of
articles should pop up. Here's an article from Life Extension Jan
2008: "Curcumin May Treat Intractable Brain Tumor". A brief google
search will reveal that some of the more advanced med schools are
jumpting into the curcurmin band wagon, UCLA for one. A search will
reveal that Curcumin is not well absorbed, so the next step is to find
a type of curcurmin that is. Again accessing lef.org, we find Oct
2007, "Novel Tumeric Compound Delivers Much More Curcurmin to the
Blood"; and we see that it's called BCM-95 (standardized to 95%
curcuminoids, but also includes the tumeric plant's other active
compounds.
The bottom line here is that a. Curcumin is an extremely powerful anti-
cancer substance, and b. the most bioavailable form (6 to 7 times more
bioavailable than ordinary 95% extract) is BCM-95 and is available from
the Life Extension Foundation.
I'll let your friend do her own googling. Bring up "anti-cancer
effects of resveratrol" and "anti-cancer effects of DIM, IC3.
DIM complex with IC3 can be purchased from Swanson's Health Products in
Fargo. Now for the 3-rd one, Resveratrol. As is the case with
curcumin, there's a shortcoming when it comes to maximum absorbtion. A
brief search will reveal that Life Enhancement, at http://www.life-
enhancement.com (a Co. associated with Dr. Wright), has THE MOST
advanced delivery system available for the resveratrol. It's
called "Pegylated Liposomes". Bring up Life enhancement and bring up
the article "Pegylated Liposomes Increase Bioavailability" by Will
Block.
I might add that Life-Enhancement will soon come out with a Pegylated
Liposomal delivery system for curcumin. Bring up the article "Solid
Lipid Nanospheres for Delivering Curcuminoids". But until that system
is available for the curcumin, I recommend the BCM-95 curcumin.
However, the pegylated liposomal system is now available with the
Resveratrol.
A 4-th powerful anti-cancer substance would be Modified Citrus Pectin,
brand name "Pectasol". On the expensive side but recommended if your
friend has the $$.
Just these 4 nutraceuticals are so powerful combined, that it's a
safe assumption that your friend has a good chance of getting rid of
the cancer.
