---No problema. By "coincidence", I've been collecting a large
amount of information on the subject which I've been forwarding to my
sis-in-law. She's in the same boat. A difficult decision though (not
mine!) would be to take chemo plus the alternative substances, OR,
skip the chemo and just rely on the natural nutraceuticals. My
sister-in-law opted for the chemo PLUS the alternative items, with
the result of a dramatic shrinkage in the size of her brain tumors.
She chose the chemo plus the alternative items in spite of my
recommendation to stick solely with the alternative neutraceuticals.
If people take the chemo they should also take L-Carnitine and
Coenzyme Q10 to protect the cells from damage, especially the heart.
This course of action (nutraceuticals alone - no chemo or radiation)
would be of course more appropriate given extremely advanced cases,
or inoperable cases. In any event, I mainly give out information and
don't really expect people with little knowledge of the subject to
forego the chemo. (too big of a step for most people).
True, I also recommend a course of action but still emphasize that
it's the patient's decision.
Here's the Life-Enhancement article on "Solid Lipid Nanospheres for
Delivering Curcuminoids" at
http://www.tinyurl.com/yta7qa
But remember that this delivery system (pegylated liposomes) is not
yet available for the curcumin, but is available for the resveratrol.

Curcumin has hit the mainstream medical literature and some of the
more advanced orthodox clinics (UCLA for example). A Scientific
American article stated that the treatment takes about 7 grams per
day. This is already out of date since the BCM-95 curcumin is 7
times more bioavailable than ordinary curcumin.

Don't forget your Vit D. This too, has been the subject of a flurry
of studies and reports in the orthodox sources. To quote Life
Extension Jan 2008: "High levels of serum vitamin D are associated
with significantly reduced risks of developing colorectal, breast,
and other cancers, according to several recently published reports".
In regard to deciphering the literature on alternative substances,
one of the rules I follow is to re-translate statements such as the
above from something like "may prevent", to include "may be useful in
treatment". For a number of reasons, sources tend to be on the side
of caution in accepting a rather mild claim like "may prevent" but
may be reluctant to say "may cure".
Cancer patients don't have the luxury of quibbling about the
distinctions, nor do they have time to wait around for controlled
studies that could take 10 years and millions of dollars.
Due to few side effects associated with substances like curcumin,
resveratrol, DIM & IC3, as well as the MCP (modified citrus pectin);
IMO making the decision to take these items is a no-brainer.
The standard orthodox recommendation would be "don't take these
substances since they may interfere with the chemo". Not even true!
