Spending time in Colo. periodically in Hunter Thompson's neck of the
woods, and being stuck at the Vail Public Library this winter
waiting for the pass to open, I happened upon a giant size tribute
book to Hunter. I had always written him off as kind of a phony.
But going through the book with pictures and text and narrative, it
dawned on me that he was a pretty cool guy, and very genuine.

Anyway, seeing these before and after pictures of Aleister made me
think of this.

I know may here consider Aliester a real phony. Don't include me.
I thought his book "Diary of Drug Fiend" was a great read. On the
other hand I really haven't delved deeply into his life.
