Yeah that is a problem, a real help would be to go on at least two residence courses a year, but the problem is the TMO must have some really whacky program material these days, along with even newer weirdness... and they'll be trying to get you to upgrade to the TMSP, another fatal mistake for any wannabe yogi. Better to keep the mantra meditation if you like it and switch to a better and deeper org like the Himalayan Institute or some other credible source of further instruction and credible knowledge.


Good experiences with TM are often neutralized by bad experiences of
the TMO. Unless they go totally ga-ga they'll end up like most people;
thinking TM is a wonderful technique, promoted by complete idiots.
