Reduce it from *what,* feste? That's just parsing words. There is no evidence that I've ever seen that FF has less crime than other comparable towns. In fact, petty thievery and esp. bicycle thievery seems to flourish here, moreso than any of the major cities I've ever lived in. I don't know what the stats are for murders in towns this size, but we've had~~I think~~ at least 3 with several attempted murders in the time I've lived here. So if it's your contention that the ME is actually working, you must imagine FF to be something like Beirut. Or Bosnia. Hopefully you're not that cynical but that's what it sounds like. Sal
