Uh, because the U.S. supplies 50% of all the food
available world-wide?

With a food crisis looming and millions of people
already starving to death, how would you increase
food production if the U.S. economy was to collapse?

In order to feed a growing population, we'll need
to double food production, not collapse the economy.

You're not making any sense. How are you going to
even afford seeds and water with a collapsed U.S.
economy?
