It's a good technique, folks. Just characterize any substantive comments you don't have a response to as "hysterical," and you have an instant excuse for ignoring them. Not everyone will be fooled, of course. But it really takes a lot less effort to maintain a following of Stupids, so if you can get yourself set up that way at the start, there won't be so much wear and tear on the ol' synapses.
