As long as we're talking about "What People Wear", let's talk about the double-speak that some people like to put on. Let's look up "mantra" and see what people say. Who wants to go first?

I was gonna say, the freaky accuracy can't be a function of my profile, because I've looked up zillions of things for stuff I've edited that I have zero personal interest in. And like you, for commenting on Web forums.

Freakier yet is to look up something on Google on Android that I might have just been looking up on the PC and they have those same search terms cached.

Oh, man, I've had a bunch of those, All kinds of stuff I'd have been in the dark about and helpless to deal with on my own if it weren't for the Web. Not to mention how it helps with aging memory!

And the search algorithms keep getting better and better; I'm constantly feeling as though they're reading my mind when I start typing in a word or two and instantly get what I'm looking for even though there are multiple possible topic headings containing those same words. I used to sweat creating perfect Boolean search strings, but it almost doesn't matter any more. Just type in a few words--even just /related/ words--in any old order, never mind quotes to enclose a phrase or pluses to separate words or phrases, and you're still more than likely to come up with relevant hits.
