I lived in the US for a year and had my
first visit to SF with my parents at 15 so I know there are
huge distances and 10$ a gallon wouldn't be a very
popular way to get taxation. Not least in Alaska where I
went fishing salmon for my first printed documentary
:-) It's one of the things I really liked
about the US that there
is plenty of the space. That
and plenty of friendly and interesting people. But
it's a shame they have allowed themselves to
been screwed big time by capitalism.
