Republican Playbook page 34: In debate talk about hot button issues that will never change but always rally support. This includes, but not limited to abortion, flag burning, gay rights, prayer in school, secured borders, etc.
Avoid really issues like domestic jobs (as oppose to jobs for domestics), favorable trade, reducing green house foot print, outlawing lobbying, ending domestic surveillance, alternative energy, foreign wars, science, etc. Nothing to see here, keep moving.
