LOL. I've never heard of a "bigger" level scotch. Scotch is a complex drink, with many different styles, and they can go from the very light, with a fruity start, floral hint on the nose, to smoky, peaty beasts that can make your eyes bleed. My best advice is start with a lower priced blend, like Scorseby or King George IV and see if there's anything in there you like. Better, go to a pub/bar/hotel and ask for a glass of Dewers. If you don't like Dewers, you're probably not going to find a lot in scotch you'll enjoy. As all Scotch comes from Scotland, and as Oz is still part of the Commonwealth, I suspect you'll find those DownUnder.
