nothing wrong with chanting.... it's kind of like an Affirmation, except it's accomplished by the nature of rhythm and repetition, as opposed to focus and meditation. Most cats love to be sung to, and love it when you sing-song their names into rhymes, so I would think they would really be happy with chanting.
