Deanne.....     I have had to pill at least two of my cats (who have gone to the Bridge now) long term with Metronidazole.  It will cause foaming given by itself and the cat will NEVER trust you again. :)  I get empty gel caps at Walmart.  I believe they are the #1 size.  Usually a cat gets 1/4 to 1/2 of the pill two times daily.  If you cut the pill in the appropriate size, then you can fit the dosage into the capsule.  No taste, no foaming.     If you can't pill your cat, you can have a pharmacy compound the medicine into something tasty.  I know Island Pharmacy online does this service.     Good luck. -- Brenda..... http://www.whiskersandwicks.com http://www.cheqnet.net/~bksmith "The only risk you ever run in befriending a cat is enriching yourself." - Colette Don't Take Your Organs To Heaven.
