FWIW I have scanned a roll of Supra 400 (which is definitely available in
Australia) and generally pleased with the results. 'Grain' effects at 2700
on nikon scanner are better than or equal to the consumer Konica and Kodak
ISO100 films I have used - very pleasing. I was able to take some very
acceptable photos that I could not have taken with the slower speed film,
and obviously get greater sharpness due shutter speed and depth of field as
a bonus - so generally I give this film the thumbs up.

But colour caused some problems for both me and the lab - the lab said they
probably didn't have their profiles right yet, but for me -it just tended
to be too saturated in red and "cold" at the same time. I generally find
Nikonscan without colour management gives me a reasonably well balanced
output, or at least one which can easily be adjusted. This was not so with
the Supra 400, I found it hard to get right. Mostly I tried less blue
(curve/levels) and less red saturation but this is only part of it as they
are still "coloured" if you get what I mean.

I am looking forward to results of Supra 100 now in the camera - but no
time to use it.

I am sorry I don't have a web site to post any examples, happy to email a
few if anyone wants. Also interested to hear more reports.

Julian
