I guess it is for the peculiar dye of Kodachrome.
It does the same with my 25 ASA Kodachrome slides taken today.
BTW I am satisfied by the results of scanning KC slides with LS-30 (no ICE)
with VueScan ... no color biasing ... it might be that I am particularly lucky
