You could pop the cover of the monitor, and somewhere (usually on the back) are some screws on the back marked R, G, and B. Try tightening or loosening (can't remember which) the one marked G. That's supposed to help make the gun fire. I had the red gun go out on my monitor and it didn't help, but your mileage may vary. If it does help, no telling how long it will last.
