My six-year old Sony 17sf occasionally turns green, usually after a long hot day, and a healthy whack usually restores it, or a half-hour rest. I suspect a leaky capacitor, but until it goes permanently, I'll suffer. You may have a blown emitter (bad), or just a bad connection or capacitor that is easily fixable.
