Finale as of 2003 does not support cross-staving of rests directly, except through workarounds like the one sugggested so far. Please write to Coda asking them to include this feature. It seems like it wouldn't be that hard to add if more people needed and requested it. Let them know if this would entice you to upgrade to Finale 2004!
