Do you have to recreate ALL of them?
Yes. Of course, I have recent backups of my Finale prefs, but they all have the same problem with Staff List Manager and the Edit Margins box. Like I said, the problem introduced itself very shortly after installing Finale 2004, and I didn't realize this was a preferences-related issue until last night (thanks for the tip, Chuck!). Obviously, now I'm going to make sure I always have several copies of that pristine, functional, uncorrupted preference file. But Chuck has mentioned that the problem is quick to reassert itself.
So yes, preferences corruption is a big problem -- for at least the two of us -- in Finale 2004. I hope we can help Coda sort this out because it's a real pain.
