Yep, there it is, five layers down. How sensible. How useful.
I seem to recall that you had some pretty unorthodox ideas about where to store documents on your HD (storing all Finale documents inside the Finale application folder, for instance).
In Systems 6 (where I got on) thru 9 there was nothing either unorthodox or impermissible about this at all. This is just another example of OSX's reduced functionality compared to System 9.
I put up w. OSX because I have to, but I don't have to like it, or succumb to it. Maybe OS 12 will correct some of these imbecilities--for wh. corrections, of course, we'll have to pay.
You are just going to have to accept that you *cannot* do that in OS X.
