Er, how, exactly?

The Sawkins case was of interest to Finale users because it involved 
issues of copyright and the preparation of editions, something in 
which a large number of us are personally involved. It was, 
nonetheless, a tangential topic, as it was of interest to Finale 
users, but not actually related to Finale itself.

This is just the equivalent of gossip (even if reported from a 
reputable source), and really has no place at all on the list. In no 
way does it relate to anything that is tangential to the interests of 
Finale users.
