libraries will NEVER order material from a publisher's website. They rely completely on music distributors for catalogues and updates on new materials stocked.
Never--especially in caps--is too strong a word. I am a music publisher, and print on demand; and libraries do, in fact, occasionally (several times a year) order directly from my website or from my printed catalog. I encourage them to do this by offering a 10% discount on all such direct library orders.
It is true that I sell far more copies to the big distributors, but NEVER? Never.
