i too find 192 the minimum for listening (128 i find actually painful to listen to for more than brief periods), but it depends on your intentions with the mp3s. if there is a link beside the mp3 link to buy the album (for example), then 128 (or even lower) as only an example of the artist's work may be fine, and, who knows, may even discourage some from making the extra effort to rip because of the mp3's poor sound quality.
