Hi Craig,
Assuming the AMD dual-cores are comparable to the Intel Core 2 Duos,
you should be fine. However, I have 2 GB RAM and wish I had 3 GB for
GPO/JABB. (I never seem to have the cash to buy another stick.)
Cheers,

I have a dual core AMD 2.6 GHz with 2GB. That ought to exceed their
recommendations by a wide margin.

Well, if your system is slow, then getting GPO and JABB will
probably not be
the wisest thing to do. Sample players really tax the system, and
you need a
LOT of RAM as well. I'd go over to Garritan.com and check out the
computer
specs they recommend to run the products.

I have been thinking about buying the full GPO and JABB
libraries. As I
understand it, that means I would be relying on the Kontact
player. Is that
correct? Dos that mean my system would slow down considerably?

This has a lot to do with the Aria Player. It's much more

Kontakt Player.

And I wonder if this is only a subjective experience, but I am
finding
some things that seem faster. Large ensembles of GPO and JABB
instruments
load more quickly, for one thing. Has anyone else experienced
this, or am I
dreaming?
