I just got around to trying things out. The PDF I'm working on happens to be graphics, so PDFToMusic won't work. SharpEye worked and the XML imported into Finale 2003 (I had feared SharpEye's MusicXML would be an incompatible version). But then as I looked at the first page, I realized that pasting additional pages into the score would create an awful situation with the lyrics -- they'd basically be gibberish in the Edit Lyrics box. On the other hand, SmartScore Lite doesn't recognize the lyrics at all, so it's something of a Catch22. I think I'm going to use SharpEye for now and see how bad the pastes are. -- David W.
