I just got around to trying things out. The PDF I'm working on 
happens to be graphics, so PDFToMusic won't work. SharpEye worked and 
the XML imported into Finale 2003 (I had feared SharpEye's MusicXML 
would be an incompatible version). But then as I looked at the first 
page, I realized that pasting additional pages into the score would 
create an awful situation with the lyrics -- they'd basically be 
gibberish in the Edit Lyrics box. 

On the other hand, SmartScore Lite doesn't recognize the lyrics at 
all, so it's something of a Catch22. I think I'm going to use 
SharpEye for now and see how bad the pastes are.
