If the RAM on your Mini isn't maxed out, that's probably the cheapest performance boost you could get, i.e., by maxing it out. Standard memory is often very, very cheap. For instance, on my 4-year-old laptop, I maxed it out at 2GBs for $40! I just tossed the original 512MB DIMM. -- David W.
