Your booklet size matters most. The costs there really add up. I've used Disc Makers (discmakers.com) with perfect results. The base price for 4-panel color insert for 500 copies is $800. But be aware that anything that requires changing (right down to any detail on any artwork) is very costly. So create & confirm every item before sending. And a UPC is only $20 extra and well worth it. > Last of all, is CD Baby the way to go for distribution? Or CD Baby > combined with other distribution channels? I use CD Baby and my old 1997 electroacoustic CD still sells regularly. They also sell individual tracks (in my case the CD is just one long 63-minute track, but if you've got a lot, the payback is better). Distribution is the hard part. Use very method you can find, especially public radio stations. Market it with little stickers on the best track to play, especially if it's a short one that can be used between talk show breaks. It took me several years to recoup the costs (as I say, it's an electroacoustic CD with a small audience). I gave away half of them to radio stations, etc., in hopes of scoring royalties. Never happened even though it got a lot of plays. Dennis _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
